What is Xeomin (also known as Newtox or Smart-Tox)?
XEOMIN® is a botulinum toxin, similar to BOTOX® COSMETIC. However, XEOMIN® is a purer form of the toxin without the protein additives usually found in other anti-wrinkle tox. This purification process lowers the risk of treatment resistance and side effects. XEOMIN® was FDA approved in 2010 for temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles.
How long does Xeomin last?
XEOMIN® starts to relax the muscles within a week and lasts around 3 months. The actual time depends on the individual. In research studies, XEOMIN® had a faster onset and a longer duration of wrinkle reduction than other botulinum toxin. The safety profile is similar to that of other botulinum toxin.
Who will be injecting my face?
All Medical Professional injectors are physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses or physician assistants with extensive experience.
